L.L.Bean has been a Sustaining Partner of the ACA for over a decade. L.L.Bean’s focus is on supporting the education, outreach, and stewardship efforts of local paddling clubs and organizations through the CFC Grant Program.

Paddling Magazine by Rapid Media

Reeno Foundation

The Reeno Foundation encourages youth and young adults to experience the power of the outdoors through challenging adventures, learning new outdoor skills, and honing those skills so they can come down from the mountains and share them with others. Reeno Foundation has partnered with the ACA to provide scholarships for aspiring paddleports guides in the Northeast towards a certification course / training so they can reach their full potential as an outdoor educator and thus share the outdoors with others.

International Whitewater Hall of Fame

The International Whitewater Hall of Fame (IWHoF) recognizes and honors individuals who have made significant contributions to whitewater related activities. To date, 51 honorees have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since the first class in 2005. The IWHoF is a program of the World River Center, the ACA, and its International Paddlesports Partners. 

Boy Scouts of America

ACA volunteers and staff are proud to work with the BSA National Aquatics Taskforce on several projects to help youth to be safer, learn, and have fun out on the water, including:

The LNT Center for Outdoor Ethics teaches people of all ages how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly, and is the most widely accepted outdoor ethics program used on public lands. Through relevant and targeted education, research and outreach, the Center ensures the long-term health of our natural world. In its simplest form, Leave No Trace is about making good decisions to protect the world around you – the world we all enjoy.

The ACA is one of the founding members of the Outdoor Alliance (OA), the nation’s premier human powered recreation group.

Outdoor Alliance unites the voices of outdoor enthusiasts to conserve public lands and ensure those lands are managed in a way that embraces the human-powered experience. OA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit coalition of national advocacy organizations that includes:

Outdoors Alliance for Kids

The Outdoors Alliance for Kids (OAK) is a national strategic partnership of organizations from diverse sectors with the common interest in expanding the number and quality of opportunities for children, youth and families to connect with the outdoors.

National Association of State Boating Law Administrators

NASBLA is a national nonprofit organization that works to develop public policy for recreational boating safety and represents the recreational boating authorities of all 50 states and the U.S. territories. They offer a variety of resources, including training, model acts, education standards and publications. NASBLA’s mission is to strengthen the ability of the state and territorial boating authorities to reduce death, injury and property damage associated with recreational boating and ensure a safe, secure and enjoyable boating environment.

U.S. Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety

The Office of Boating Safety is part of the Federal government and a servant of the public, in its role as the designated National Recreational Boating Safety Coordinator, it is a leader in improving the boating experience of the maritime public. Their primary mission is to minimize the loss of life, personal injury, property damage, and environmental impact associated with the use of recreational boats, through preventive means, in order to maximize safe use and enjoyment of U.S. waterways by the public. The USCG Office of Boating Safety supports the ACA in it’s endeavors to educate all paddlers about recreational boating safety.

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary

The Auxiliary and the ACA are working together to increase educational outreach to paddlers abour boating safetyas well as provide free vessel safety checks for paddlecraft.

American Sailing Association

The ACA and ASA are working to bring kayak and stand up paddleboard instructor certification courses to a series of ASA professional sailing schools.

Stand Up Paddle Industry Association

SUPIA is the trade organization of all stand up paddle businesses: Manufacturers, Retailers, Service Providers (Instructors, Guides, Race Directors, Event Planners, Certifiers), Media, Sales Reps, Distributors, Suppliers, etc. The SUPIA strives to move standup paddling forward in a positive direction.
