Donations to the Commodore’s Campaign allows the ACA to place the funds into the area of greatest need. It allows for flexibility in furthering our mission of paddlesports education, stewardship, recreation, and competition. The title, Commodore’s Campaign, has historic meaning as it honors those who have served the ACA and paddlesports over the past century.

This fund helps the ACA to maintain our gold standard paddlesports education program all over the world. From the National Paddlesports Instruction Program to a range of videos, brochures, posters and other educational materials, the ACA is the authoritative resource when it comes to paddlesports safety, education, and instruction.

Donations to this fund are utilized exclusively to work on issues related to the Stewardship of paddling venues. From fighting for clean water to advocating for appropriate access to that clean water, the ACA’s Stewardship Department works diligently on behalf of all paddlers.

Competition funds allow the ACA to continue to support competitive paddlesports races as well as competitive youth development programs across the country. The ACA offers four competition focused donation funds: General, Slalom, Sprint, and Paracanoe.

From the collegiate race series to wildwater, slalom, downriver, poling, canoe sailing, paracanoe and freestyle, the ACA understands the value of how competition helps foster an active, healthy outdoor lifestyle.

This fund allows the ACA to continue to support the U.S. Olympic Whitewater Slalom Team. From youth development, club programs, coaches, events and Olympians, please consider donating to further slalom in the United States. Through a generous 2018 matching grant, the ACA has set a $100,000 fundraising goal!

The Equity and Access Fund supports ACA’s commitment to expanding access to paddlesports. The fund aims to help remove financial barriers to participation for underrepresented groups or individuals to pursue paddling education, leadership development, competition, and/or instructor certification.

Funds donated to the ACA’s Universal Paddling Program are dedicated to the advancement of creating opportunities for paddlers of all abilities. Whether it is access, specialized equipment, or targeted educational outreach, the ACA is committed to providing programs and resources for all paddlers.

The IWHoF is a program of the ACA and its International Paddlesports Partners. The ACA is proud to support these whitewater Advocates, Champions, Explorers and Pioneers. IWHOF recognizes and honors individuals who have made significant contributions to whitewater related activities. To date, 55 honorees have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since the first class was inducted in 2005.
