Reeno Foundation – Nick Ruschmeyer Scholarship
The ACA is proud to partner with the Reeno Foundation to provide outdoor adventure scholarships for youth and young adults in the Northeastern US.
The Reeno Foundation was created to honor the life of Nick Ruschmeyer (1989-2020) and is his legacy. Before he lost his battle with cancer, he had time to think about what he wanted to leave behind, and he inspired the formation of the Reeno Foundation. Nick believed strongly in experiential education. He dedicated his life to leading people on experiences that allowed them to push themselves to learn and grown and he believed that being outdoors in nature could truly transform life.
Guided by the values and principles that Nick lived by, the Reeno Foundation is a 501c-3 non-profit organization that encourages youth and young adults to experience the power of the outdoors through challenging adventures while learning new skills. The Reeno Foundation offers scholarships to connect young people with outdoor adventures in ways that promote self-confidence, teamwork, and leadership. Focused in the northeastern US, Reeno enables young people to participate in experiential education or professional outdoor opportunities and encourages a life-long connection to the natural world.
