Those wishing to become an ACA Instructor Trainer Educator (ITE) must have served as an Instructor Trainer in good standing in the discipline of application for at least two (2) years prior to application and have conducted and reported four properly reported courses at a minimum to include:
- At least one Skills Course or Assessment Course
- At least one Instructor Update
- At least two IDW/ICEs at the highest level of certification
ITE candidates must have attended an ACA instructional clinic conducted by an IT in another discipline.
ITE candidates are encouraged to certify in a second ACA discipline or another outdoor recreational field.
Instructor Trainer Educator Applications Require:
- Your current resume
- Video of modeling & teaching or documentation on in-person review
- IDW/ICE course outlines and evaluations from four separate courses (export these from the CMS and attach to this application)
- Mentorship framework for IT Candidates
- Three (3) letters of recommendation. One must be from an ITE in the appropriate discipline and at the appropriate level
Additional Notes:
- Review the SEIC Policy Manual for full policies in effect at the time of your ITE application.
- The ITE Candidate shall be ultimately responsible for full compliance with SEIC Policies and Procedures.
- Upon becoming an Instructor Trainer Educator, annual SEIC dues are $110 per year.
