Yonkers Paddling & Rowing Club’s Annual Riverfront Summer Kickoff Festival

The Yonkers Riverfront Summer Kickoff Festival is a free community event taking place in Habirshaw Park in Yonkers, NY, on Sat Jun 20 2026. Co-hosted by the Yonkers Paddling & Rowing Club, Riverkeeper, Sarah Lawrence CURB and the Beczak Environmental Center, the annual event brings people together on the shoreline of the Hudson River to enjoy the benefits of having equitable riverfront access and to celebrate community, both on and off the water.
It will be a day filled with kayaking and canoeing, seine net fishing, live turtle displays, arts and crafts, food and music, raffle prizes, tabling from local community groups, and more–all for free! The Riverkeeper Fish Migration Celebration will join the fun from 11:00am – 12:30pm with a puppet parade (which is open to public participation!) and a magical flotilla of fish-themed boats.
We invite one and all to join us on the Hudson Riverfront as we kick off the summer season with a splash!
