ACA Level 3 Coastal Kayak Instructor Certification Workshop
December 2–6, 2026 • Charleston, South Carolina
Join Ashley Brown and David McPherson for a Level 3 ICW in one of the best classrooms around — Charleston’s waterways.

Warm temperatures, rivers that flow in two directions, swift currents, easy access to the ocean, and a major commercial shipping harbor give us an incredible variety of conditions in which to learn.

This hands-on training focuses on:

• Demonstration-quality paddling skills
• Rescue techniques
• Group management
• Problem-solving
• Instructional leadership
• Using tides, weather, current, and real-world conditions as teaching tools

You may join us for an Update, Certification, or Experience. Whatever your goals, let us know what you want to accomplish, and we’ll help you build your experience toward it.

Prerequisites:

• Current American Canoe Association membership
• Level 3 skills assessment
