We are excited to share that Beth Spilman, the ACA’s Executive Director, was recently appointed by the National Governing Bodies Council of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee to serve on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Endowment (USOPE).  The USOPE was established in 1984 as an investment endowment to provide grants to the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) to support America’s athletes. In addition, various member organizations of the USOPC have pooled certain of their assets, as principal, with those of the Endowment, which acts solely as agent for the investment of the USOPC member organization funds.

The USOPE is not a private foundation but a 501(c)3 non-profit supporting organization as it exists to support another non-profit organization – the USOPC. The Endowment established its grant program in 1986. Since inception, over $370 million in grants have been awarded to the USOPC and its member organizations.

“I’m honored by the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors of the USOPE which provides such incredibly important financial support to the USOPC and the National Governing Bodies,” said Beth Spilman after being selected as one of two National Governing Body Representatives on the USOPE Board of Directors.
