American Canoe Association Launches New USA National Team Branding to Elevate Athlete Identity and Unity

Unified USA National Team Branding Initiative

The American Canoe Association (ACA) is proud to introduce new branding for its USA National Teams. This updated visual identity places “USA” at the forefront to celebrate the athletes who represent the United States on the international stage. 

This initiative reflects a strategic step forward in how ACA presents its national teams across all paddling disciplines in international competitions. Each discipline will now share a common national team identity, fostering a stronger sense of connection and shared purpose.

The new USA National Team mark has been thoughtfully designed to align seamlessly with the ACA’s existing brand identity. This intentional cohesion ensures that ACA remains visibly connected as the governing body behind these teams, while enhancing clarity and consistency across communications, apparel, and events involving USA National Teams.

“This branding initiative is about more than a logo. It’s about how we show up for our athletes,” said ACA Communications Manager, Kaycee Maas. “By putting USA front and center, we are reinforcing their role as representatives of our country while bringing our competition disciplines together under one unified identity. To help bring this vision to life, we worked with Jake Wheeler, at Day Fire Company, who helped guide us through the creative process and deliver results that we feel really proud of. We are also immensely grateful for the feedback from the athletes and dedicated volunteers whose feedback framed the vision for the updated branding.” 

The move also aligns ACA with best practices across other National Governing Bodies, where consistent and prominent national team branding is a key component of athlete support, sponsor engagement, and international recognition. 

With the designs complete, ACA looks forward to implementing the refreshed team branding in the coming months.
