Kayaking 101 – Paddle Perry

JFK Pool, Lafayette Street, Tell City, IN, USA

Paddle Perry, Inc., an American Canoe Association Paddle America Club, is happy to offer a series of kayaking 101 safety classes in June and July 2023.

Learn the basic knowledge and skills needed to be safe on the water. ACA Level 1 Kayak Instructor, Kelly Hess, will be leading this class. These classes follow ACA curriculum and will provide basic knowledge and skills for beginner paddlers on flatwater (lakes and streams).

While we will be using kayaks for this series, much of the knowledge and basic mechanics is applicable to other paddlecraft. We’ll finish the series with water games and general paddling time so you can put your skills into action.
