The Camp Cup brings together paddlers from many different western North Carolina summer camps with paddling programs. Campers participate in kayaks or canoes in several disciplines: a casual surf rodeo, a down river race from the Cement Beach to the raft take-out, and slalom in the lower, permanent course. There is a practice day and an event day. Times are collected and published but there are not “winners” of events.
