Level 3 Whitewater Kayaking Instructor training is a program emphasizing safety, enjoyment and instruction of whitewater kayaking skills in public, private and commercial settings. The course will have a minimum of 32 contact hours over 4 days. On river instruction will be on the St. Francis River, Missouri, a Class 2-3 section (https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/view/river-detail/2921/main). Off river instruction will be at Cinco de Mayo Campground (where sleeping accommodations are separately available). Cost is $475, due in advance, with registration.
This four-day course immerses participants in kayak instruction. Participants will need to be prepared to be on water about 4/5 of the time, regardless of weather conditions, unless hazardous (storms or extreme heat or cold). Participants should bring whatever items they need to paddle.
Course printed materials are provided as part of the program cost. Successful completion of the entire program will result in a four year nationally recognized ACA Certification. Instruction will be delivered by Tom Burroughs
