American Canoe Association (ACA) Level 2 Essentials of Kayak Touring Instructor Workshop and Exam (ICW/ICE)
This class is a 4 day workshop and exam for kayakers who want to become ACA certified as a level 2 instructor. Information on the skills required and the “Instructor Criteria” are located on ACA’s website curriculum page, under the Coastal Kayaking tab:
ICW/ICE Dates: Friday, June 17 through Monday, June 20
Time: 8:00AM to 5:00PM each day
Location: May vary depending upon weather, most likely some of the time will be at Trophy Lakes, Johns Island, SC
Instructor Trainer: Jeff Atkins, IT Candidate Bev Cosslett
Price: $575
Daily schedule and details will be distributed to candidates 2 weeks before class starts. Candidates need to come prepared to spend a full day on the water each day, although there will be on-land sessions mixed in throughout the 4 days.
