This class will be focused on stroke improvement (paddling further, faster, and with less effort), and rescues (including how to rescue yourself when – not if – you fall in the water, and how to assist other people who have fallen in). A significant amount of emphasis will be placed on safety including assessing and avoiding risks, decreasing the likelihood of capsizes, and how not to hurt your shoulder. This class is open to all types of kayaks including sea kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks, and recreational kayaks.
