5-day workshop split into a 3-day Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) on September 27-29, 2024 and a 2-day Instructor Certification Exam (ICE) on October 12-13, 2024. This two weekend model allows students to take lessons learned in the first weekend IDW and prepare for the second weekend ICE. Instructor certifications are the next step for individuals wishing to teach paddling technique and skill refinement to students. A key component that sets instructor certification apart from other course types is the evaluation of not only paddling skill and knowledge but also teaching ability, group management, and judgement.
