Each year the River House Outdoor Center offers opportunities for paddlesports professionals and enthusiasts to earn a variety of internationally recognized instructor certifications through the American Canoe Association. A variety of certification levels and disciplines are available and are chosen based on community needs. Current ACA instructors can earn the update requirement to keep certifications current during these courses. Traveling Instructor Candidates have access to kayaks, SUPs, and rafts with all accompanying equipment at no additional charge as needed. Eugene boasts several nearby rivers and flatwater venues as well as all the amenities needed to have a pleasant experience including campgrounds, hotels, restaurants and a vibrant downtown and university district.
