This Level 3-4 Safety & Rescue Skills Assessment Course is designed for those wanting both skill development and a documented credential for Swiftwater Rescue. It is especially geared for individuals wanting to certify as Safety & Rescue Instructors. The course is facilitated by ACA certified L4 Safety & Rescue Instructor Trainer Jordan Taylor of the Paddlesport Institute and is hosted by the Northwoods Outdoor Center. Our rescue program is designed to be fun, to help you test your limits as a rescuer, and to give you a chance to train and practice the most relevant skills available in the Whitewater Industry. We are offering highly up to date curricula based on the 2023 Swiftwater Rescue Conference and discussion/study with leaders in the Swiftwater Instruction Industry.
If you are planning to attend with a specific skills assessment outcome in mind self study is strongly recommended and practice of skills you have already received training in is also strongly recommended.
