New Mexico River Adventures and Whitewater Attainment are partnering together to offer this great early season opportunity to get your instructor certification before the western whitewater season gets going!
This five-day course is designed for competent whitewater kayakers who want to become instructors. During this course Instructor, candidates will learn industry standards for teaching kayaking and be assessed throughout the class on Teaching Ability, Technical Ability, Technical Knowledge, and Rescue Ability.
Prerequisites:
– Minimum 18 years old
– Must be current ACA member
– Current ACA Safety Education & Instruction Committee (SEIC) Dues must be paid to hold any level Instructor Certification
– Confident class III kayaker with a solid roll
