This 2 day skills assessment will dial up boofing skills, blending of strokes, outside edge engagement and reading complex terrain up to Class 4+. This clinic is a prerequisite for an Level 5 Kayak Instructor Upgrade/Update August 23-25. Both courses will start on the Lower Yough running advanced lines and may move to the Upper Yough if participants skills are sufficient
This course will be facilitated by Level 5 Instructor Trainer/Level 4 Instructor Trainer Educator Jordan Taylor. When training Instructors Jordan draws from experience training faculty at the Calleva River School (DC Area), National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Madawaska Canoe Center (Ontario) and the North Carolina Outward Bound School, as well as classroom teaching. Like any boater, he also just loves paddling.
