Join Missouri Stream Teams for a recreational and educational paddle down the last 100 miles of the Missouri River, our nation’s longest riverway. The journey begins in historic Hermann, Missouri on Wednesday September 22, 2021. Paddlers have the option of a 3-day, weekend only, or full 5-day trip. The 3-day trip is held Wednesday through Friday, as participants travel 70 miles from Hermann to St. Charles, Missouri. The weekend trip begins in St. Charles on Saturday September 25, 2021. Weekend paddlers travel 30 miles from St. Charles to St. Louis, and get to paddle through the confluence with the Mississippi River during the last mile of the trip. Full 5-day participants travel the full 100 miles from Wednesday Sept. 22 through Sunday Sept. 26. Along the way, we are led by professional ACA instructors and environmental educators. Guest presenters join us at towns and islands on the route as we learn about the history and ecology of the river. Delicious catered meals are provided! Enjoy evening entertainment as we camp each night at off-river campgrounds that have restroom facilities. A ground support crew of Stream Team volunteers help transport camping gear downstream and ensure that paddlers are supported for their journey. The event is a fundraiser for the Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition, a 501c3 nonprofit that promotes and facilitates clean waterways in Missouri.
