SKC Sojourners paddle approximately 44 miles over 4 days along the borders of Somerset, Cambria, Indiana, Westmoreland and Armstrong Counties in southwestern PA. The Kiski-Conemaugh is a “drop and pool” river. Water levels can vary greatly depending on time of year and rain fall. If the river is low, you can expect a fair amount of paddling in some sections, and will need to be able to maneuver a boat around river rocks. Daily paddling distances range from 12 miles to 7.5 miles. The river sections are Class I-II, with one specific site that can be Class III depending on water level.
