Four American athletes are in Szeged, Hungary for international events this month.
The first is the Olympic Hopes Regatta, which is for 15 through 18-year old paddlers. Reigning World Champion Nevin Harrison (Seattle, WA) is the sole American racing in this event. This Saturday she will race in the C1 Women 200m event, to be held at 7:18 East Coast Time and can bee seen on live stream at https://canoeszeged2020.com/.
Nevin will also race in the World Cup event the following weekend, also in Szeged. She will race C1 Women 200m and team with fellow America Ian Ross in the C2 Mix 200. Ian Ross (Washington, DC) will also race C1M 1000 and C1M 5000.
Focusing on the 200 meter C1 Men event will be Kenny Kasperbauer (Gig Harbor, WA).
The sole kayaker, Katlyn McElroy (Oklahoma City, OK) will race K1 Women 200, 500 and 5000m.
