6 Things You Didn't Know about Nathaniel Francis

  1. Nathaniel started paddling when I was 4 with my parents in a tandem kayak. When he wanted to paddle on my own, his parents said he had to take a class. So, at age 9, he discovered canoe slalom with Dana Chladek at PWRC.
  2. At age 12, he began switching from kayak to canoe.
  3. On Nathaniel's 14th birthday, he began training with Silvan Poberaj at PWRC.
  1. He enjoys playing clarinet as the first chair in my high school band and has been a member of All District Band three times.
  2. Nathaniel is an avid filmmaker, focusing on documentary and action sports. The majority of his films revolve around whitewater kayaking, many made in collaboration with PWRC.
  3. Nathaniel has an aussiedoodle named Kona.
