Beginners’ Weekend on the Lower Kern with LA Kayak Club

Contact Information Los Angeles Kayak Club“Don’t miss this action-packed weekend, working on basic whitewater paddling and safety skills in Class 1 and Class 2 water. We will be getting wet! Our base will be the Rancheria section of the Lower Kern River near Bakersfield and Lake Ming. We provide all paddling gear except wetsuits and shoes. We’ll be prioritizing new paddlers, but if you’ve only been out a few times this may also work for you. All participants are encouraged to attend a three-hour pool session in Chatsworth on April 8, introducing equipment and basic safety skills.”
