A Paddle for Hunger is a benefit paddle and food drive to offset hunger and housing security in southern Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Kayakers will receive one-hour of basic open-water paddle instruction at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, or 2:00 pm. Paddlers are expected to register for the instruction through the event website.
Paddle instruction is part of a larger fundraising and awareness campaign and all registration fees, except insurance, go back to the community.
There is a limit to 5 kayakers per instruction period.
The event is at: 1-41 Riverview Ave, Neptune City, NJ 07753 and runs from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Interested paddlers can arrive early to paddle with the group or they can come for the ACA instruction.
The event is $40 per person and an a canned food donation for the food drive.
All kayaks are welcome; however, paddlers must bring their own boats, life jackets, and paddles. There are no rentals for this event.
