In honor of Marge “River Mom” and her son Mike, the ACA is pleased to continue the annual Marge Cline Memorial Grant Program. Each year, the ACA will grant up to $1,000.00 to individuals under the age of 20 or non-profit organizations who provide meaningful paddlesports opportunities for youth in the Midwest.
For 2024, we are pleased to announce the following recipients:
Eric Plath: Eagle Scout project to build a new paddling public access site at the East Branch of the Little Calumet River in Indiana Dune National Park.
Camp Amnicon Foundation: funding will help fund wilderness canoeing trips with youth from Northern Wisconsin
- Equipment will be purchased so more youth can be served by this program
- Participants will experience a greater understanding of canoeing safety and water safety in a variety of paddling environments
