Couldn’t get enough of the surfing and kayaking Olympic coverage?! Do you love the ocean and want a new way to experience it? We have an exciting opportunity for you! An enthusiastic group of ACA Instructors and Instructor Trainers are bringing back the energy, excitement, and fun of surf kayaking – and you are invited!
The ACA SEIC and Board of Directors recently approved revisions to the ACA Surf Kayaking curriculum, aimed at making the discipline more accessible at entry levels. The Eugene River House Outdoor Center is partnering with the ACA Surf Kayak Committee to offer an instructor training and certification opportunity at Levels 2 and 3.
The program will take place on the Southern Oregon Coast from Friday-Sunday, September 13-15, 2024. The lead instructors will be Eskape Kayak’s Roger Schumann, a long-time surf, SUP, sea kayak, and river educator and Marcel Bieg, a very experienced trainer in multiple disciplines as well. Three days of pristine surf, breathtaking scenic views, camping and transportation included, and some of ACA’s finest educators – all for $240?! You won’t find a better deal than this!
Logistics:
- Group camping at Sunset Bay State Park is already included in the course cost
- Transportation to and from Eugene Airport included upon request
- Surf kayak equipment provided upon request
