Amanda is a dedicated paracanoe athlete from Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, and a Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic hopeful. After years as an avid recreational kayaker, she recently discovered the pathway to competitive paracanoe and hopes to qualify for the 2026 USA Paracanoe National Team during Team Trials in Oklahoma City on May 30.
With a strong background in trail running and endurance sports, Amanda brings determination, resilience, and focus to her training. Beyond competition, she is a passionate advocate for adaptive and para sports in rural northern and central Minnesota, working to expand access and create pathways for individuals with limb loss or limb differences.
As Amanda works toward her goal of making the LA28 Paralympic Team, she is seeking support to help cover essential training, travel, and lodging expenses—totaling approximately $10,000 per year.
