Olympic Qualification Events

1st and 2nd place in each of the below events may qualify

  • MK1 1000, MC1 1000m, WK1 500m, WC1 200m

1st place in each of the below event may qualify

  • MK2 500m, MC2 500m, WK2 500m, WC2 500m

Athletes who have already qualified athlete quota places at Global Qualification may NOT compete in these events.

A National Federation can qualify a maximum of 2 athlete quota places in each category at Continental Qualification. For example, if a National Federation finishes in 1st place in MK2 500m and in 1st or 2nd place in MK1 1000m, then that National Federation would qualify 2 athlete quota places from MK2 500m and the athlete quota place from MK1 1000m would be
allocated to the National Federation finishing in 3rd place in that event.
