6 Things You Didn't Know about Nathaniel Francis
- Nathaniel started paddling when I was 4 with my parents in a tandem kayak. When he wanted to paddle on my own, his parents said he had to take a class. So, at age 9, he discovered canoe slalom with Dana Chladek at PWRC.
- At age 12, he began switching from kayak to canoe.
- On Nathaniel's 14th birthday, he began training with Silvan Poberaj at PWRC.
- He enjoys playing clarinet as the first chair in my high school band and has been a member of All District Band three times.
- Nathaniel is an avid filmmaker, focusing on documentary and action sports. The majority of his films revolve around whitewater kayaking, many made in collaboration with PWRC.
- Nathaniel has an aussiedoodle named Kona.
