Getting to the Start

Due to a fire at Mount Baker Beach Park, the location of the race will be Stan Sayer Pits. It’s about a mile south of Mt. Baker Park Beach on Lake Washington Boulevard.

Race Course

Start sequence: 5 minutes: 3 short horn blasts; 3 minutes: 2 short horn blasts; start: 1 long horn blast.

Please PLACE BOAT #s ON BOW, so they are visible from the finish line.

Long Course: Mercer Island counterclockwise. Options for home stretch: south winds: north of I-90 floating bridge; north winds: stay south.

Short Course: South hugging east shore of Seward Park. Make counterclockwise 180° around orange buoy at southeast corner. Returning boats stay off shore to avoid collisions.

Short Course: Tyler Petersen, Nikki, Dave in flatwater triple – 43:44.

Long Course: Richard Tarbell and Greg Spooner, 1:36:12 in 2005 in a 2x.

Short Course: Josh Proctor, 44:49 in 2008 in a 1x.

Entry Fees

Pre-registration discount
Members of Sound Rowers: $15 per person
Non-members: $20 per person

Day of race registration
Members of Sound Rowers: $20 per person
Non-members: $25 per person

Boats of 3+ competitors
$15 per person pre-registered (members and/or nonmembers)
$20 per person day of race registration
