The course is roughly 7.5 miles of the Potomac River, with a variable start line depending on the river levels (on the Little Falls gauge. At 4.9 ft and below the start is at Rocky Cove; at 5.0 to 5.9 ft the start is at Angler’s Beach; at 6.0 and above the race is cancelled until the next weekend (or when levels recede below 6 ft). The full race course (levels below 5 ft) is 7.5 miles through Mather’s Gorge and ending at Sycamore Island. Event date is May 11th Backup date May 18.
