Cape Fear River Rendezvous will be a river takeover event no matter the level. If the rivers stay normal flow, we will paddle recreational and whitewater boats down the 8 mile stretch from the new NCWRC boat ramp at Wildlife Road down to the Cape Fear River Trail Park in Erwin NC. This section contains the largest gradient drop of the entire Cape Fear River which includes multiple class II rapids. If the river level is too high for recreational boats, we will still conduct the trip with Whitewater boats and look at how many recreational boaters we have that may want to take a whitewater sit on top or raft down and organize that. The adverse weather date will be Sunday, June 23rd.
